Results from 2011 annual recycling event

There is no question that this year’s event was the largest to date. Each year, EXEControl coordinates an event where companies and individuals are able to stop by and drop off their old electronics at no charge. At the end of the day we filled an entire truck full of electronic equipment. Knowing that this equipment will NOT go into our landfills and will NOT get sold overseas just to end up in a landfill overseas is good news. EXEControl thanks Jennifer (our Office Administer) for the hard work required to make this such a successful event.

Well the results are in and the 2011 annual recycling event brought in a little over four tons of electronics! This is four tons of trash that has been diverted from our landfills. The event recycled 24 TV’s (new in 2011), 73 monitors, 66 computers and 8 laptops.

The event was held at EXEControl Global Solution’s corporate headquarters. RCR&R (Regional Computer Recycling & Recovery) from Rochester, NY was the recycler for the event. This year’s event allowed both businesses and individuals to drop off the computer electronics for FREE.
