Paul Giobbi as president and co-founder of Zumasys, Inc., Paul Giobbi has led his company to become one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the US, appearing on the Inc. 5000 seven times. In just over a decade, Paul and his team have grown Zumasys into a $25+ million cloud computing provider.
Since starting Zumasys, Paul has maintained a relentless focus on culture and social responsibility. His innovative employee programs, such as the Zumasys International Travel Incentive and Happyness Is a Choice, have garnered numerous awards and nominations, including: ComputerWorld’s 100 Best Places to Work in IT for 2015; Orange County Business Journal’s Best Places to Work four years in a row (2012-2015); and Orange County Register Top Work Places 2013 & 2014. In 2013, OC Register also awarded Paul the Leadership Medallion Award and named Zumasys #1 in Social Responsibility.
Paul was born into the legacy computing market. He started his career at age 11 in a family business that produced tradeshows and magazines for the Pick MultiValue database. By 30, he built a successful division at Jones Business Systems (JBS), which became the largest distributor for Pick Systems (now Rocket Software). In 2000, Paul and his partner split from JBS to form Zumasys. Paul soon saw an opportunity to drive higher value for customers in the niche of hosting custom applications and legacy ERP systems. In 2006, Paul launched the Zumasys Cloud. Now in its 5th generation, the Zumasys Cloud platform is hosted out of the 407,000-square-foot SuperNAP data center in Las Vegas.
In 2015, Zumasys acquired jBASE, a powerful database that allows customers to preserve decades of custom MultiValue programs but without a restrictive legacy virtual machine, which means applications take full advantage of the modern features found in the underlying operating system.

Robert Burke serves as Director of Customer Support for Rocket Software Robert directs the pre- and post-sales support for Rocket’s multivalue database products which include mvBase, D3, Universe and Unidata as well as the associated tools. Robert is involved in unifying the multivalue support teams at Rocket and ensuring an outstanding customer support experience to all Rocket customers. Robert’s team is focused on putting the customer first and adding value to multivalue applications by bringing Rocket solutions to multivalue customers from the vast Rocket Software product line which includes mobile enablement, business intelligence and analytics, secure file transfers, compliant source control and network management.
Robert joined the Rocket Software team in October 2013 when Rocket acquired the multivalue business from TigerLogic. Robert joined Pick Systems in 1996 as a Technical Support Manager of the D3 Windows and D3 Linux products and served as the Director of Customer Support starting in 2006 during the Raining Data and TigerLogic corporate name changes.
From 1990 to 1995, Robert was involved with the development of the Idea! Room demo centers at Hewlett-Packard where he served as a Demo Support Manager and also served on the HP Product Steering Committee. From 1984 to 1990, Robert held System Administrator and MIS Director positions at Harrington Industrial Plastics, a national distribution company. Mr. Burke holds a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in MIS from Cal State Fullerton.
Dorien Gardner, Rocket Software works as Professional Sales Engineer in MV database and Business Intelligence Software for Rocket Software
Dorien is passionate about business intelligence (BI), predictive, and advanced analytics with actionable BI. With 25 years within the software marketplace Dorien has assisted companies of all sizes with the deploying of business software solutions. Prior to joining Rocket Software in 2014, Dorien was a Principal Consultant, Strategic Technology Group for SAP Business Objects. Dorien brings experience from within and outside the multi-value marketplace.
As a Professional Sales Engineer, Dorien’s assignment from Rocket Software is to help the multi-value customer base integrate the latest toolsets to their legacy applications.
Dave Gallo, Axis Communications In March 2014, Dave joined Axis Communications Inc., the industry leader in Network Video Surveillance. Prior to joining Axis Communications, Dave spent several years in the local security integrator market, where he focused on commercial, education, and manufacturing markets with IP Video and Access Control. He also focused on project management and designing security systems.
Jeff King, Managing Partner of Direct Connect LLC has been providing credit card services to companies of all sizes and all industries for decades. Jeff’s straight-forward approach to payment processing has helped EXEControl Global Solutions’ customers accept credit card payments while meeting all of the PCI/DDS compliance measures. Jeff has spent much time researching the new EMV chip mandates and comparisons to the chip processing that has been available overseas for years.
Jeff Robinson, President of Bluestone Telecommunications Inc. has been involved with VoIP since its inception in the early 1990s, leading the team at IQ Systems Inc. that built some of the first voice over packet phone systems. Prior to that, Jeff was the principal founder, Chairman and CTO of Star Semiconductor, the company credited with creating the world’s first commercially available multicore digital signal processor (DSP), which won numerous industry awards. Other positions Jeff has held include Director of VLSI at General Datacom, and Program Manager for the direct line drive SLIC at Texas Instruments. He holds 37 patents principally in the area of real time computer architecture and silicon chip design techniques.
Dave McCary, Cultural Ambassador, Zumasys, Inc. As Zumasys’ Cultural Ambassador, Dave McCary helps achieve the strategic vision of Zumasys by meeting with business leaders one-on-one, and speaking at conferences on the subjects of cloud computing, MultiValue software and corporate culture. Focusing on Zumasys’ customer-centric, relationship-based business model, Dave has spent over 10 years building his expertise in helping businesses of every size deliver value-add services to their customers by leveraging modern technology solutions. As Zumasys builds and acquires new products and solutions, Dave consults with customers to determine how they can best leverage these tools to provide the most value to their organizations.
As a Zumasys Cultural Ambassador, Dave uses a unique set of professional experiences to consult with executive leaders, to help them understand the business value of the latest technologies. His ability to distill complex technology solutions into business language helps corporate leaders make educated decisions without becoming subject-matter experts. Dave has also worked with companies to help them integrate aspects of conscious capitalism, community involvement and a vibrant corporate culture into their own organizations; from developing philanthropic giving programs to increasing employee satisfaction to doubling-down the focus on high-value customer service.
Dave joined Zumasys in 2005 after a decade playing music semi-professionally. As a self-described “extreme extrovert with a substantial excess of personality,” Dave quickly found a home on the Zumasys sales team and has been a member of the Zumasys management team since 2012. Dave is a father of two, an avid Deadhead, a cook, a musician and a science nerd.
EXEControl Global Solutions Staff Speaker Biographies
Clifford (Cliff) Bennett came to EXEControl Global Solutions with decades of ERP/CRM software development and implementation experience. Cliff is a unique individual with expansive experience with all aspects of business, including accounting, inventory, production, sales, purchasing and more. Cliff now works as a Senior Application Developer for EXEControl Global Solutions, and has already participated with his first major EXEControl implementation.
Brandon Gleason, one of the newest members in our Networking Support Department, Brandon came highly recommended as a brilliant, young and energetic network technician. Brandon received an Associate’s Degree in Computers and Electronics and now is lead technician for support calls. Along with Mark DiPofi, another EXEControl Global Technician, Brandon has also spearheaded a research project on the field of security cameras and integrated computer networks.
Todd Hess is EXEControl Global Solutions’ Director of Professional Services. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Todd oversees client implementations, training and consulting. He has been with EGS for over 15 years, has provided professional services to over 70 clients and has been a lead implementer on over two dozen new implementations. He holds a CPIM from APICS. In 2011, he received APICS’ Member Service Award. Todd has also received the Fundamentals of Payroll Certification from the American Payroll Association.
Craig Kimbrough has 15 years experience working as a network and system administrator, Craig has been a member of the EXEControl Global Solutions team for five years and functions as a Network Technician. Prior to working for EXEControl Global Solutions, Craig worked for Proctor’s Theater as their lead, in-house, network specialist.
Christopher (Chris) Litts joined EXEControl Global Solutions in 2012 as a Network Technician. After graduating from ITT Technical Institute with a degree in Information Technology, Chris was immediately hired by ITT Technical Institute as a Student Tutor. Chris uses this experience when working directly with clients in a one-on-one approach to train and educate their staff. Chris is an HP Accredited Integration Specialist.
Michelle McKenzie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Russell Sage College. Michelle is Director of Software Services at EXEControl Global Solutions. As a 20-year veteran of EXEControl Global Solutions, Michelle is highly knowledgable regarding most every aspect of the EXEControl ERP/CRM software package.

llan Robison joined EXEControl Global Solutions back in 1982 as an entry-level programmer. After performing every job position at EXEControl since that time, Allan is now the President, CEO and Owner of EXEControl Global Solutions. Allan is certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), a 20-year member of APICS and a 15-year member of CEN (Chief Executive Network for Manufacturers).
Andrew Robison graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) as a Mechanical Engineer, and has spent his last few years working for EXEControl Global Solutions as a VoIP (Voice over IP) Specialist. Andrew is dedicated to the R&D process of converging VoIP and computer network systems, and successfully deploying this technology.
Isaac Robison, a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Game Design, Isaac is now an Application Developer for EXEControl Global Solutions. Isaac spends much off is time developing interface and new technology solutions for the EXEControl ERP/CRM product suites. Products include items such as the Google calendar synchronization with EXEControl’s calendar system and our newest Mobile native applications.
Jonathan (Jon) Sternfeld graduated from SUNY Albany with a B.S. in Business Administration. As a seasoned employee of 20 years, Jonathan functions as a Senior Application Developer with EXEControl Global Solutions. Jonathan is also a member of APICS, is Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and is currently serving as VP of Membership on the Albany chapter’s Board of Directors.
James (Jim) Waltersdorf graduated from Kaplan University with a degree in both IT Management and Business Management. He joined EXEControl Global Solutions in 2000 as a Field Service Technician. Jim is now the Director of Networking Services and leads our Managed Services team.
Krzysztof (Chris) Wolcz with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Chris joined EXEControl Global Solutions in 2006 as an Applications Developer. Chris has over 20 years of programming experience, and specializes in multi-platform system integration. Chris is EXEControl Global Solutions’ Senior Lead Developer for .net and third party software integration.
Daniel (Dan) Wright is an Applications Developer and part of the EXEControl Software Service Team. Dan is often on the front line for resolving support tickets and spends much of his time problem solving. He finds that the analytical concepts required while earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from WPI (Worcester Polytechnic Institute) serve him well in determining how and where a software process is malfunctioning and how to correct it. With more than a decade of software industry experience, Dan’s prior positions include software support and programming for Google.
Event Coordinator Biography
Jennifer Mazzariello joined EXEControl Global Solutions in 2005, after graduating from Suny Adirondack Community College with a Marketing Degree. Jennifer has the role of Office Administrator, which consists of handling all the internal processes at EXEControl, including, Payroll, Accounts Payable & Receivable and Human Resources. Jennifer also has the task of planning, organizing, and managing all of EXEControl’ s Corporate events, conferences and outings.
