Asset tag sample
EXEControl Global Solutions had an interesting call today. A company that rents cars called our office. They said that they found a laptop in one of their rental cars and the laptop had one of our asset tags with our phone number on the unit so they decide to call us to report the lost laptop.
EXEControl Global Solutions provides our clients with asset tags for their equipment. On the tag it states the company that the piece of equipment belongs to, an asset number and our phone number for technical support.
While the purpose of these asset tags are to help us with tracking support history for individual pieces of equipment and to provide an identification of the rightful owner, it was nice to see a new use for the asset tags. Within minutes we were able to contact the individual who uses the misplaced laptop and reunite the owner with their laptop.
